A few holiday snaps…
I recently saw this advert and was rather shocked..
It has a strange similarity to my design of mini advertising!
Obviously Skoda have a much larger budget than myself, but the idea is the same!
1st Year – Plastic Surgeon
Create a logo and stationery for a chosen profession – Plastic Surgeon

There are elements of a Plastic Surgeons techniques within the design. The idea of the curves around one corner, giving the impression of “perfect curves” and also the dotted lines giving the idea of the preparation a surgeon goes through when planning the required surgery.
When i applied for a job at REEF Clothing, they said, “Be creative!”
So i designed a 3 page brief CV of my self. I used elements of clothing labels sold at REEF within my design, such as the Ironfist T-shirt i am wearing (pg.1 & 2) and the Eastpak zombie logo design (pg.3).
The CV was transferred onto thick cardboard using Image-maker glue and made into a book with string.
I eventually got the job :)
Develop campaign ideas and concepts that communicate the richness of the British Music Experience.
My idea came about after looking at music promotion.. It was all flyers and posters.
So I decided to do something slightly different, but using the same format – At the British Music Experience they have many separate rooms off the main entrance, each one contains a period of music history with music and memorabilia from that time period – These flyers were basically a small record sleeve with a record of sample music from that specific time period. Each record design was a snapshot of music and history that influenced British music at that time.
Honours Project – Food Waste
Raise awareness of the environmental damage caused by sending food waste to landfill.
This project really did take up the most time. It originally started as a fashion project, then Fairtrade then somehow Food Waste.
So much research and investigation went into putting together a very interesting and appealing outcome. I ended up finding “Love Food Hate Waste.com” so i aimed my designs towards that. I wanted to put across some important facts about food waste.
The bin bags and packaging is aimed at reminding people when they put out bins and bags with food waste they are damaging the environment.

D&AD – Mini
Create a direct response communication for Mini, demonstrating that customers can create their own unique version of their favourite model.
This project was so much fun, but really hard work. FIVE Minis – 15 Million variations… How do i show that exactly?
I ended up designing a rolling advert of the above poster. Each mini came on screen for 0.5sec and flicked onto the next. There is a total of 66 different minis, everyone is unique to the next by only the slightest detail, such as the roof or body colour, the decals or even the shape. Each line shows the colours available in the mini, but the details of each mini are only a small option to what is actually available.
Personal Project – Five Days To Go
Show what happens in the last 5 days of University leading up to the Degree Show.
I wanted to present this project as a brochure. But as it was only 5 pages, i thought it would be too thin as a booklet. So after a bit of research and thought, i decided to design a folded brochure starting small and going larger, illustrating how the stress and work just seemed to get bigger.
Each day has a brief description of what happened and a series of 3 photos to show what was designed and produced. The back is a series of images of everyone stressing and working hard. hard but fun times!
